Quy “Q” Nguyen is the founder and CEO of Allyance Communications. As an active philanthropist, Q has volunteered, supported, and served in various capacities from fundraising committee to board of directors for the following charities: The Angels’ Tim Salmon Foundation, Festival of Children, Hoag Hospital Foundation, Down Syndrome of OC, Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, SAVICE, Orangewood Foundation, Miracles for Kids and most importantly, Camp Footprints. Prior to becoming president he was the head of Coca-Cola Latin America and was instrumental in increasing sales by over 50%.

James Dal Pozzo (Jim) is the Co-Trustee of the William H. Tilley Trust and the Chairman of the Jacmar Companies. His responsibilities include guiding the investment process for several related entities. He also serves as a director of BJ’s Restaurants Inc. (NASDQ: BJRI) and several private companies. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive status) and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he serves on the advisory boards of the Schools of Business and Accounting, and the Harvard Business School.

HARVEY RUBIN, MD, PHD

Professor of Medicine, UPenn

Dr. Rubin is Professor of Medicine with secondary appointment as Professor of Computer Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. The NIH, NSF, DARPA, the Global Alliance for TB Drug Discovery and the Gates Foundation have funded his basic biochemical and genetic research in infectious diseases, resulting in more than 100 peer-reviewed papers. He served on national and international scientific review panels including the NIH, NSF, NASA Intelligent Systems Program, DARPA, and The Medical Research Council, South Africa. He was a member of the U.S. National Science Advisory Board for Biosecurity and the Dept. of Defense/National Academy of Sciences Biological Cooperative Threat Reduction Program. Dr. Rubin is the founder of Energize the Chain a non-profit organization and GAVI INFUSE partner that ensures the delivery of vaccines to people in the most remote regions of the world by utilizing power and connectivity available at cell tower sites to power the refrigeration systems that are necessary to keep vaccines at the proper temperature.

Matthew Bullock has had a long and successful career in the financial sector, joining Barclays Bank in 1974 and specializing in technology financing. He later rose to become Regional Director in Leeds and Director of Risk Management and Group Senior Executive. Prior to leaving the Barclays Group in 1998, he held a senior position at BZW/Barclays Capital. From 1998–2011 he was Group Chief Executive of the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society. and during this time, he was Chairman of the Building Societies Association. Mr. Bullock was active as a banker in stimulating the growth of the technology cluster in Cambridge and subsequently led Barclays High Technology Corporate Finance Group for 5 years. He was appointed a member of the UK Cabinet Advisory Committee on Applied Research and Development during the mid-1980s. He was a founding member of the Judge Business School Advisory Board and its longest-serving member (1985–2002) and Chairman of the Advisory Board for the ESRC Centre for Business Research. He is Vice Chairman of Cambridge Ahead, a business and academic group promoting sustainable high growth in the city.

DR. ELI DAVID

Dr. Eli David is a leading expert in the field of computational intelligence, specializing in deep learning (neural networks) and evolutionary computation. He has published over forty papers in leading artificial intelligence journals and conferences, mostly focusing on applications of deep learning and genetic algorithms in various real-world domains.

For the past ten years, Dr. David has been teaching courses on deep learning and evolutionary computation, in addition to supervising the research of graduate students in these fields. He has also served in numerous capacities successfully designing, implementing, and leading deep learning based projects in real-world environments. He received the Best Paper Award in 2008 Genetic and Evolutionary Computation Conference, the Gold Award in the prestigious “Humies” Awards for Human-Competitive Results in 2014, and the Best Paper Award in 2016 International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks.

Dr. David is the co-founder of Deep Instinct, the first company to apply deep learning to cybersecurity, which was recognized by Nvidia as the “most disruptive AI startup”, and was selected by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer.

Lee joined Sun Mountain Capital in 2009 with experience starting and managing technology related businesses at both start-ups and large corporations as well as investing in companies and funds both in the US and abroad. Prior to joining Sun Mountain, Lee founded Knogee a semantic search company, ran business development for Intel’s consumer electronics group, launched and managed the product marketing and standards team for Intel’s blade-based server initiatives and led product management at semiconductor start-up Netboost (acquired by Intel). Lee also has extensive business consulting experience having worked at Ernst and Young early in his career and as an independent consultant brought in by investors and the board to work with start-ups on strategy and operations. Lee has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and a dual BA in computer science and mathematics from Cornell University.

Lee is a Board Member of Sun Mountain portfolio companies Skorpios Technologies, TriLumina Corporation, 3D Glass Solutions, iD90t, Underdog, Relevant Traffic, and is also actively involved supporting xF Technologies. Past investments include SinDelantal (acquired by HelloFood), Comet Solutions (acquired by Aras Corp.), JackRabbit Systems (acquired by SimpleView) and WePow (acquired by OutMatch). Lee also serves on the Limited Partner Advisor Committee for a number of private equity funds and is a member of the Arrowhead Innovation Network Advisory Council at New Mexico State University’s Arrowhead Center.

Richard Crane worked for the United States Government for 15 years. He was the Attorney in charge of the Justice Department Organized Crime and Racketeering Division charged with investigating and prosecuting the Mafia. In 1975, Mr Crane was the Justice Department nominee as the outstanding Federal Attorney in the nation. After leaving the Government Mr Crane practiced law with several large firms. Mr Crane was the lead management trustee and Chairman of the Nevada Culinary and Bartenders Pension Trust. When Mr Crane retired as Chairman after thirty two years the pension fund had over a Billion dollars and was named by the Department of Labor as the best managed Taft Hartley Pension Trust in the country. Mr Crane serves on numerous corporate Boards today.
